Mind Right Monday: Beginning of the School Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for another Mind Right Monday link-up hosted by yours truly, Dani from Ok, Dani and Reese from Reese and CocoJust make a post that includes 1) your GOALS for the week and 2) what you’re GRATEFUL for, and BOOM You’re Done!! Oh and link up your post at the end… (If your post doesn’t meet those two requirements, it will be deleted)

Alright, so let’s go back and see how I did with last week’s goals…

  • Start working on course schedule for BM classes. Finish tentative schedule through the midpoint. (BM=brick and mortar) (DONE!!!)
     
  • Continue working on written lectures for online courses. (Sorta Done)
  •  Edit at least five more pages of my prospectus and finish half of Writing Centers and the New Racism. Email advisor to schedule meeting… (FAIL FAIL FAIL)
  •  Post to Mamademics two more times this week. (DONE)
  •  Post to Hook Smart once. (FAIL!)
  •  Add new Cabled Beanie option to Etsy shop(DONE)
  •  Workout at least three times this week. (FAIL)
  •  Finish the owl I made for one of my bffs. (DONE… need to mail)
  • Finish Sesame’s flash cards. (FAIL, but mainly because I realized that he knows a lot of those things already, so I need to reevaluate the ones I want to make)
  • Start researching blog designers for Mamademics (FAIL)
  • Set aside self care time (get my eyebrows threaded, give myself a pedicure, and paint my nails) (Almost DONE…I still need to paint my fingernails)

This week’s goals are as follows: 

  • Work out three times a week (I already got one work out in before writing this post)
  • Drink 64 oz of water every single day
  • Use my planner
  • Email my advisor about a meeting because I’m still stuck in this slump
  • Finish outstanding orders for Hook Smart and mail them out.B
  • Blog twice (including this post)
  • Start working on my next Raising an Advocate series post (tentatively scheduled for next week)
  • Wake up before Sesame at least three times this week
  • Finish lesson plans for next two weeks
  • Figure out new learning resources for Sesame
  • SURVIVE the first week back of in person teaching

This week I am grateful for…

  • A job doing what I love.
  • My husband and son being healthy and ALIVE
  • Crocheting it’s seriously my anti-drug
  • My younger brother starting college this week
  • Making new mommy friends even if they are inside the computer lol
  • Sesame sleeping through the night for the most part all last week (*fingers crossed it keeps happening*)
  • Feeling well rested for the beginning of the school year
