Spring Break Preparations Can Be Messy
One of the last things I want to do when preparing to head out on a vacation is clean the house. But, I also do not want to come home to a messy house, so we try to tidy up before heading on vacation. Spring Break is usually spent in town, but this year we were heading on a road trip and in the process of getting everything together, I made a mess on our hard wood dining table.
For some unknown reason, I decided to attempt making my son surprise eggs to open once we reached our destination. This meant making a batch of homemade play dough and then adding color to it. The final process requires kneading the dough like you would when making bread, so yea this means flour everywhere and because I never seem to put enough flour down initially there was some play dough left on the table.
After finishing the project, I sighed thinking about the mess I’d made, but then I remembered my recent trip to Wal-Mart to pick up Pledge® Lemon Clean to test out and realized this was the perfect mess to showcase. Pledge® Lemon Clean cleans, conditions, and protects furniture all around the house; and for those of us dealing with spring allergy season it contains Allergen Trappers® to remove dust and up to 90% of allergens. Plus, it leaves behind a fresh lemon scent.
I cleared the table of all the mail and other things I’d pushed back to knead the dough and realized some of my son’s school projects had left their marks as well. Random twigs, leaves, and dirt particles from his homemade bird nest project that he wouldn’t let me toss out. If it wasn’t already clear, we use our dining room table more for projects than actual dining during the busy spring semester.
As soon as I sprayed it on the table, I was transported to my grandmother’s house. The lemon smell reminded me of helping dust the shelves that held her massive elephant collection. It took a couple of rounds of spraying to thoroughly clean the mess, but the lingering lemon fresh scent was totally worth it.
You can easily locate Pledge® Lemon Clean in the Home Cleaning section of your local Wal-Mart.
