Influenster Cosmo Voxbox

A few weeks ago I received an email from Influenster telling me that I was selected to receive their Cosmo Voxbox. I signed up for Influenster this summer, but I hadn’t been as active as I thought I needed in order to receive a box so I was surprised to be chosen.

The Cosmo Voxbox contained a Gillette Venus Embrace razor with a Venus & Olay refill, two FriXion by Pilot pens, Bath and Body Works Forever Red  perfume, and a bar of Ghiraradelli Gourmet Milk Sea Salt Escape. After taking pictures, I of course opened the chocolate first. What can I say I’m a stereotypical girl when it comes to chocolate love. I did wait for Mr. S and Baby S to go to sleep, so I wouldn’t have to share… don’t judge me lol. The chocolate was delicious. I love sweet and salty snacks, so it was right up my alley. I’ve used Gillette Venus razors in the past and enjoyed them. I am excited that they have created the refills to be able to fit any of the blades, so you aren’t forced to use the same refills every time. I haven’t had a chance to try this one, but I’m going to use it when I exfoliate this coming week, so I’ll probably tweet my reaction to it. This isn’t really a beauty blog, so I’m sure yall don’t want to see tons of reviews on beauty products.

Since I’m an academic, I love ink pens. I have a few brands that I swear by and I’m always buying more before I run out. I’ve tried Pilot pens in the past and while they aren’t my absolute favorites they’re pretty good writing utensils. I’m not a fan of black or red ink, so I was disappointed that there wasn’t a blue to try out. FriXion pens are gel pens with a rubber tip that can be used to erase. Now I’m skeptical of erasable ink because they used to make a mess when they first came out, but these work very well. It erases completely and doesn’t leave ink marks all over the paper either. They write smooth for a gel pen and I’m adding them to my “note-taking” case.

Finally the Bath and Body Works perfume. I saved this one for last because it’s my absolute favorite. I’m a fan of fruity smelling perfumes/body splashes, but I don’t really like flowery scents. Forever Red is described as a blend of pomegranate and red osmanthus with a hint of vanilla rum. Despite their being a flower in the makeup, it is not overpowering at all and doesn’t leave me smelling like an old lady.
