9 Months and counting: Dear Baby S

I love his smile 🙂

Dear Baby S,

I can’t believe that you are already nine months old. It feels like we just were preparing for your arrival, but now you’re here with tons of personality to boot. Your laugh is infectious and your smile makes even the gloomiest day sunny. Right now you enjoy crawling; pulling up; trying to get up the nerve to let go; and cruising around your playpen and the couch. You can say “hi” and give high fives. You love kisses and snuggling with mommy and daddy. You recognize your grandparents voices and your cousins pictures. Mommy milk is still your food of choice, but you are slowly starting to enjoy more solid foods. Dried mango, tomato soup, and cheerios are your current favorites.

The last nine months have been amazing! I never imagined that I could love one small person so much or function on so little sleep. I’m enjoying watching you learn and grow. I’m looking forward to seeing what you become. Thank you for teaching me patience and the importance of enjoying the moment. Thank you for reminding me that it’s important to give hugs and kisses. Thank you for just being you 🙂
