Last night while giving Baby S a bath then reading him a book I realized that bath time is one of my favorite times of day with Baby S. I will admit I was reluctant to give him a bath initially, because he was so tiny. I tried getting Mr. S to give him a bath, but this is the only thing he is vehemently opposed to doing for some reason. Lucky for me Baby S has always enjoyed bath time except for the one time I accidentally rinsed his hair with cold water :-/… don’t ask lol.
My little scholar...
I LOVE the look on his face when he’s relaxing in the bathtub. He’s been using his legs a little more, which means he splashes water on me sometimes and I laugh. He just always looks so content and happy when I’m bathing him. Plus, bath time usually means bedtime and that means bedtime stories 🙂 As you all know I’m a nerd and I LOVE reading. I really want to pass my love of books down to him, so I enjoy reading him a story. I decided to pick a different book every week and read it to him every night until he can pick them on his own. Lately he’s started reaching for the book and we’ve been letting him hold them.
I think for now bedtime is my favorite time with Baby S, because I get to be the last person he looks at before closing his eyes for the night.
